Computer Training Center (CTC)
Walsh Library, lower level

Hours of Operation:
Monday - Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm

The Computer Training Center offers training to the entire SHU community on all university supported software. This training is free of charge to all students, faculty and administrative staff. The CTC offers many different methods of training and is extremely adaptable to different learning needs and styles. You can come to us or we'll come to you!

  • Classroom Instruction
    The CTC offers regularly scheduled classes covering the MS Office suite, Lotus Notes, BlackBoard and MS FrontPage. View the Schedule of Classes.
  • One-on-One Instruction
    Can't make a scheduled class or need more detailed instruction? Then a one-on-one session can be arranged for you. Register for a One-on-One Session
  • Department Training
    This can be a great way to get or keep your staff up to speed on the new technology.
  • Class Training
    For faculty, we'll come into your classroom and conduct a session for all your students on any of the software programs.
  • Computer Based Training
    We offer a large selection of courses you can take via your computer through Element K. Check it out!
  • Consulting
    Thinking of automating an office process, creating a new database or updating an old one? The CTC can lend an objective ear to your plans and help you determine the best path to a successful solution.
