Virus Information

The key to protecting your computer and your valuable data from computer viruses is to regularly upload the latest virus definitions. Each University-issued laptop comes with the Norton Anti-Virus Program installed. It is your responsibility to regularly update these virus definitions.

  • SHU e-mail servers check incoming mail
  • All SHU computers come pre-loaded with an anti-virus application and updates can be scheduled to run automatically
  • All PCSS staff are training in virus cleaning and removal
  • Infected computers are blocked from the network so that they cannot spread the virus infection further
